August 28, 2011: Diane and Marcus's Engagement Video.

Marcus and I have been buddies since before I can remember. He's always been around. Always been there in some form of another. We went to college together, highschool, church school... He was just always there! He's always been very querky in a GOOD way. Marcus came to me with a script and said he wanted to shoot this idea he had for an engagement video. He was very into it. At first glance of the script, I already knew there would be tons of production involved. That's what a lot of people don't think about when they write a script... the amount of production. A few strokes on a keyboard that started off as just an idea turns into hours upon hours of planning and shooting in front of our cameras. This was our film. This is their story.

Today was my first day meeting Diana and Felix. They were also referred to from another couple. I admit, it took some time for us to get traction with this shoot but it came together nicely in the end. We took these at UH-Downtown. My first time there!

This was a morning bridal shoot. I wasn't used to it and neither was the bride, but we were tight on scheduling so this had to happen! It definitely made our normal locations look and feel very different.

Cindy and Bobby are such an adorable couple. Just watching them interact with one another made it a breeze to get great candid shots of them together. The video we shot to them made them cry. We love making people cry.

Needless to say these engagement photos were very last minute since they were married 4 days later! Congratulations to Mary and Tien on their beautiful and quaint wedding. We had a blast covering their wedding day!

August 16, 2011: Mary and Tien's Engagement Portraits.

Mary and Tien are such an adorable couple together. They were referred to us from a previous couple and so this photoshoot was the first time I had met them. Sometimes it's difficult to shoot a couple that you've just met. People tend to be really stiff and it's hard for them to open up and be themselves. This wasn't the case for Mary and Tien. They seemed very comfortable with us which made it easy to get such great photos!

Nhu has been a buddy of mine since before high school. So naturally, when she asked us to shoot her engagement portraits, I was excited! She wanted some green scenery and we were tired of the Japanese Gardens so we hit up the Houston Garden Center for these photos
